5. Reflection
1) Experience
Upon completing this module, my overall experience doing all the
tasks was overwhelming. I had alot of ups and downs, procrastinate alot
because this semester was bit tough on me . Besides that , will all the
assignment i did, i gained a lot of knowledge,. I have better
understanding on typography and now advanced typography . First , i
thought it would be fun but as time passes by I noticed i have not been
giving my best but it was too late. We all learn from
experience.
2) Observation
I now get that typography is much more than just typing something and
there is alot of process and hardship behind one letter. The way to
which circumstance affects typography was one of my biggest findings. The
way a typeface is used can make it feel businesslike, funny, or
scary. Additionally, I became aware of how effective hierarchy
and consistency are at directing a reader's focus, particularly when using
grids or layouts.
3) Findings
I discovered how typography can serve as an expression to advertising and
narrative through tasks like designing a unique typeface and using it in
various contexts. Making fonts appear "appealing was not the only goal, it
also involved resolving visual problems and using each stroke and area
with meaning. I also learned to think more critically about type
design in this module, including how type interacts with a medium, time,
and goal.
