3.Task 2A
Mr. Vinod asked us to create a small mind map about ourselves for our next Task 2
Mindmap:
A. Research
B. Ideation
after showing my progress to Mr. Vinod, he asked me to sketch as much as we could and choose the best.
I refined the top 2 logos and digitized it.
after getting feedback , Mr. Vinod asked to lessen the size of 'm' as it was very thick and inconsistent.
Next , we were told to create a colour palette and and experiment our word mark.

Experiences
As I completed this task, I gained hands on experience on making mock - ups also a basic knowledge of making a brand identity. The process of making a logo out of our own name was a bit confusing because I did not know what is the best thing that could represent myself. I took the time to do some research on how people create a specific identity under their name and lastly , I managed to do a logo after consulting with Mr. Vinod and getting approval him . In class, i learnt that I should really do more research on logos because each logo has it own background , I noticed that when Mr. Vinod showed us the Alliance bank's logo. It was a fin experience doing this task even though it was a bit rough for me
Observation
One observation I did in this task is paying attention to balance, symmetry and always be serious about what we create. We should not create anything just because, research , progress and comparing our work to the best ones are important eventhough there is no best design in designing but it is important to always make sure what we creating have something behind it , not just doing it for the sake of designing.
Findings
I always learn a lot from Mr. Vinod in his classes because I see him thinking creatively and critically, even though i try to follow, I fail but i believe practice makes perfect. Sometimes I complete my tasks without proper research but in upon completing each tasks I learn how important research is and how much it can change your perspective and point og view.

Principles of logo design by Marrianne ( Online website)
What I learnt from this website was the bacis principles of creating a logo
- This website related to what Mr. Vinod said in class which was logos made must be communicating something to the viewer. It has to be memorable and able to communicate something.
5 principles are (with example given )
1) Simple
Even though the logo looks abit difficult, this is a brand that is identifiable by everyone . Simple by using just 1 colour and because of its clean symmetrical and simple presentation , it is very easy to be remembered.
2) Memorable
Very easy logo, known by everyone , even kids mainly because of its easy way to remember it.
3) Timeless
Usage of geometrical shapes, different colour and size which happens to be appearing everywhere.
4) Versatile
This is a professional logo , elegantly created for targeted audience
5) Appropriate
The choice of colours and shapes typically chosen to attract kids and has the intention given straightforward.
