Experience

Starting this module was a rollercoaster. Everything felt unfamiliar—new software, systems, and a mountain of requirements to meet. It was daunting to imagine all the work that had to be completed by the end of the semester. Thankfully, Mr. Max's guidance made a significant difference. His patient approach and consistent support helped ease the pressure. I was able to focus on learning and improving at my own pace, especially in understanding the complexities and beauty of typography. Looking back, the challenges were worth it, as they pushed me to gain skills I didn’t think I could achieve.

Observations
As I dove deeper into the world of typography, I noticed a shift in how I perceive design. I no longer just glance at posters or graphics—I analyse them. I pay attention to the balance of kerning and leading, the flow of text, and even the subtleties of readability. These observations have become second nature, and every piece of design I encounter now feels like a mini lesson. It’s fascinating how these small details can influence the overall message of a design.

Findings
This module taught me to see design as more than just visuals—it’s about storytelling through structure and detail. I’ve realized how powerful typography can be, and how even the tiniest adjustments can change the impact of a design. It’s a humbling process to understand that what looks simple often requires incredible precision. Moving forward, I want to approach my designs with this deeper awareness, knowing that every element contributes to how the audience experiences the work.
