Week 4
Since my vector character is a monster flower, a lonely and kind one. I wanted to give a forest background. Chill and calm/ sad vibe.
Storyline : Blossom is a lonely flower monster that was avoided by his surroundings because of his flaws but in reality it is a kind hearted monster that is often judged by it looks.
Ideation and inspirations :
Sketching:
1. I sketched my background in one point perspective.
2. I added some cool tone colours to give a sad and calm vibe.
3. Finally, I coloured my background fully with shadows and light to give a realistic effect.
4. Lastly, for final touch up. According to Blossom's habitat, I added some grass and flowers to match his aesthetics. Then I added my character.

Reflection :
Working on this design task challenged me to think creatively and explore new visual styles. It pushed me to refine my skills in composition while staying aligned with the core message. Overall, it was a rewarding process that strengthened my confidence as a designer. Besides that, I also learnt alot about composition and the importance of knowing where to create a focus point and where to add lighting in order to achieve a visually appealing composition/ background.
