Lecture Topic : Introduction to Compostion 

Week 2 lecture was about fundamental composition on how to mix media in a good composition in order to get a more aesthetically and eye pleasing collage/ composition. 

Some research on compositions:

: Guides to different types of composition. Most used composition on my collages is the Golden ratio and Rules of Thirds. 

Some of my favourite Golden ratio and Rules of Thirds collage from the Pinterest. 

Rules of Thirds: Rules of thirds are important to our composition because it helps to create balance and give a visually appealing images.  

Golden ratio : Just like rules of third, golden ration are also used to create a balance in images. It guides us to the main focal point of the image as a direction for our eyes.   

Week 2 : Tutorial and Practical. 

In week 2 physical task, Mr Fauzi asked to prepare 

1. Old magazine
2. Scissors 
3. Glue
4. Cutting board

To create a physical collage. I added the Rules of Third and Golden Ratio. I did some research before starting my collage. 

Work process :

1. Searched some good magazines that have good images

2. I then cut the pages I want to use

3. I took out the pieces I want and assembled them 

4. I did a trial but I was not satisfied with it.

Description: I just played around the word cutouts to give funky vibes and I used the golden ratio, placing the face on the right side to draw viewer's attention to the face. 

Composition     3 #

Description: Composition 3 was created using the Rules of Third with the balance on every side, placing the main focal point in middle. 

Final chosen collage :

This was the final chosen composition, It was perfect compared to the other compositions because the collage is balanced with big, medium to small images.  I also layered the composition to give balance in my collage.
